Canon GX7 vs Sony RX100M3

I've been looking at premium compact cameras for the past week and have narrowed it down to the Sony RX100iii and the Canon GX7, mainly due to the size and capabilities of these amazing little machines.

I WANT great photos from my trip, and guess I will be finding out what shoots well on my adventure ie, street, landscape, portrait etc. Video will be fun also but isn't paramount which is why I havn't extended my budget to the RX100MK4 and I'm guessing either of these would look great for...
