Need help buying a new camera

Hello, my name is Jim. I joined this forum out of frustration. I have been to a few stores near where I live, which is in eastern Oregon, such as Bi-Mart, Walmart, and others trying to get answers to a couple of questions. It seems that the employees of these stores know as much about their camera's that they are selling as my cat does.
